Repair your smile simply and affordably.
Use your existing teeth as anchors to restore your winning smile.

An artful solution to missing teeth—porcelain bridges restore balance and enhance your smile’s harmony.

Porcelain dental bridges are among the best means to restore a winning smile. They require the preparation of adjacent teeth, are frequently used to replace the ones that need to be pulled, and are technically considered to be prosthetic devices. Dental bridges are usually comprised of one or more prosthetic teeth suspended between two crowns, and because of the recent advancement of dental technology, bridges are sometimes used as an alternative to implants, which depend on the health of gums and jawbones. After the initial examination, Dr. Castellanos and our staff will provide advice on which option is best for your individual dental needs.

The first step in designing a porcelain dental bridge is to prepare the two teeth that will anchor the bridge. This is done by removing a portion of the enamel on each anchor tooth and preparing them for the installment of a crown. Next, a molding impression is taken of the area where the bridge will span, and a temporary bridge is put into place. Once the permanent bridge is ready, a subsequent appointment will be made for the installation. The new piece is checked, adjusted, and temporarily cemented to allow your teeth to get used to it. Once this process is complete and there are no complications, the bridge is permanently cemented.

After installation, and as in most all dental procedures, regular care including brushing, flossing, and dental health checkups and cleanings are necessary. Because bridges can put additional pressure on the anchoring teeth, some complications may arise, but can be avoided by regular checkups and visits to our office. Bridges tend to be extremely durable and last for several years, but normal wear and tear may lead to the need for a replacement. Porcelain dental bridges can be just the link you need to help you smile confidently once again.
